Evaluation

          I would evaluate myself a 5.5 considering the grade that the 6th graders got. Considering the circumstances that the 6th graders were put in, they both acquired a grade of 70 each. I did the necessary and read everything that Ms. Hinojosa posted online. I kept up to date and worked independent. Although I did get some help from my peers and I took criticism in a positive way in order to help me achieve a good learning project. I redid my project several times in order to get to Prezi which I learned form my classmate Deborah.       
          At the very beginning I had chosen to create a video.  As I investigated on them I quickly noticed that they were actually not so easy so I changed it to a flipbook and comic strip. Then I noticed that my flipbook was taking forever because I was in page 120 and burly had investigated. After all that I decided to do Prezi because my classmates were using it and it seemed a lot simpler then what I was doing. I had to go through failure in order to conquer the design cycle. 
      My design was quite a mess because I didn't really focus on it. Since I kept changing my investigation on projects, I did not really consider a design. Although when I did get to Prezi I made a sample one and I told my self what I was going to do each day. On day September 23, I made a chart showing what my ideas were for the flip book and comic strip. As I went through it, I decided that the flip book idea was not going to work. The movement of the pages was going to take too many pages and with little movement. When I decided to do the Prezi I dedicated my time to see how Prezi worked.
          My plan was a simple not very elaborate system that I was using. I created a chart showing what I was going to do each day. Since I changed my two comparisons many times I kept going back and fixing my chart. When I was confused on what was in stored for me that day I would always go back and see my chart. Even though it has the days counted up to seven for each one I took twice that amount. I always had it on the back of my mind that that day would actually take two days. I would also go back to the www.mypdtp.blogspot.com and see what I had to do that day.
            Creating my final decision was actually very fun. As a result of creating this I learned a new way to make a very creative and learning page. Prezi allowed this product to have a learning experience upon the 6th graders.  In about 30 minutes I had created the whole project and made it very colorful. In my opinion my creation could of  been much more elaborate and maybe longer sentences. Considering it was for the 6th graders I believe it was very good.
          Evaluating your project is always hard. Even though I did it all as asked I know there was room for corrections because considering what I did do I know that I could have put in a little more effort. At first the whole project was very confusing I had no idea what I had to do. Then as I went back reviewed my study buddy and the class web, I noticed that everything that I needed to know was right there in front of me. So at first I didn’t have anything and what I did have was quite bad so I went back and I redid everything. I believe that this was not just a learning experience for the 6th graders, but for me too.
          Knowing for a fact that I got to do the Prezi because of my peers I was very appreciative. In technology there was times when I would goof around and not listen, but I always knew when it was time to get serious. At first I hated this project and I was sure I was going to fail the class but I got over it put my positive face on and worked hard. I tried to be as independent as possible and my work was done. I was proud to present my Prezi to the 6th graders because I knew how much effort went into it.

Evaluate


1. How can my learning serve my community?
         My learning can serve my community in many ways. The biggest one is that I can use the design cycle process in order to stop global warming. I can investigate more on ways my community pollutes and and also ways the whole world pollutes. Then I can create a detailed plan to stop the pollution. As I put my words into actions I will add more people to help. Finally I will evaluate the progress made and see if I actually helped out my community.
2. How can your future projects become better?
        My future projects can become better by investing more time into the research section of my project. For this research I did not get a background check of how sixth graders learn best. For next time I will ask the group of people that I'm testing on, how the learn best. this way the project will be made to reach their requirements in learning. This will make my project more acceptable for them and allowing them to learn the design cycle. 
3. What have you learned about yourself and what you will continue to do or not do and why?
        I have learned that I need to believe in my self a lot more. Because I actually know what I'm doing, but then I start doubting myself, then I get it wrong. I have to trust myself with no doubts. Also to listen and us my resources, in this case the www.mypdtp.blogspot.com. This is because it has all the steps in order for the class day.
4. How do you feel about your final product? What would you rate yourself on the Rubric scale of 1-6 for each part of the Assessment Criterion?
       I think my project was a success though the students could of done better because my "experiment" was contaminated. I would rate my self a 6 because I put a lot of effort into it. I took my time reviewed my notes and the class webs. the students seemed to really understand all the concepts and the information behind the pictures, though they were rushed and made careless mistakes. I over all enjoyed doing this project because it will only make my world a better place.
5. What would you do differently in regards to your planning and execution of your plan?
      In my execution I would probably have had added a lot more details and a lot more color so the sixth graders could have learned more. I would have made every caption at least a paragraph long. The pictures more like a collage so there would of been more verity so the student could of seen more examples. In over all I think I did pretty good considering that it was a last minute change. I also get how to use prezi now.

         Today two 6th graders took the quiz both came out to 70 and I believe sincerely that I didn't even get to explain my steps. I took my time for this and I was not able to present it good =(. Even though they both had a 70 I believe they did know the process, but the questions were not simplified to a 6th grade level. My questions were more for a 9th grader rather than a 6th grader. I also think that there should of been more sixth graders so that it wasn't just 2 taking the quiz. that lead to rushing and not

Create


Today I got to expirence prezi. It was really interesting and I really liked it, so I decided to change the flip book for it. I had also started the flipbook but it turned out to be to much , I went to 120 pages and I only had "inves" spelled out. Deborah told me to try prezi . I really liked it and it was so simply. I finished in that same time period. I would rate myself a 6 because I worked really hard and it is simply to understand the information. It is also very eye catching so it will help the 6th grader understand and remember.
